We enjoyed ourselves as spectators at LS Fest in Bowling Green, KY. in September and the Goodguys 25th Southeastern Nationals in Concord, NC. in October. We could not pass up our chance for another Ron Sutton Workshop in Concord just before the Goodguys event. Now we have some new suspension components from Straight Shot Performance for the Malibu.
Read MoreNew lightweight fiberglass body panels have arrived for the 1980 Malibu Xtreme Street race car. Some parts fit perfect, others...not so much. Adjusting the fit and installation did take some time to make sure the Dzus fasteners do their job at holding these panels on the car.
Read MoreMuch has been accomplished throughout this past week. There have been pedals installed with a new brake master cylinder, a HVAC delete panel, a Chevrolet LS engine painted Ford blue for fun, and some fitment checks with the body bolted to the frame.

Read MoreAfter pulling the frame off, there was some damage found, but before the repairs start it must be stripped of all hardware and electrical then sand blasted. This will bring the steel body down to bare metal unfortunately exposing weak areas in the sheet metal.
